Refund Policy

1. Summary

This page explains the refund and cancellation terms for Coffeescribe, operated by 7sumcreations LLC (Wyoming, USA). It is a focused restatement of the billing terms in our Terms of Service — if anything here conflicts with the Terms of Service, the Terms of Service control.

In short: subscriptions are non-refundable but cancellable at any time; you keep paid access through the end of the billing period you have already paid for. Tokens spent on completed AI generations are non-refundable because we have already paid the upstream AI provider for that compute. We do not charge tokens for generations our system detects as failed. Billing errors are reviewed case-by-case at billing@coffeescribe.ai.

2. Subscription Refunds

Paid subscriptions (Pro, Creator; monthly or annual) are non-refundable. You may cancel at any time, and you will retain full paid-tier access until the end of the billing period you have already paid for. After that date, your account automatically reverts to the Free tier.

We do not pro-rate refunds for unused portions of a billing period. We do not offer refunds for accidental renewals; please cancel before the renewal date if you no longer wish to continue. Renewal dates are visible in your account settings and on the receipts emailed to you at each renewal.

3. Token Credits and Top-Ups

Tokens spent on completed AI generations are non-refundable. When you generate content, we pay the upstream AI provider for the underlying compute in real time. That cost cannot be recovered, regardless of whether the output met your expectations. AI is inherently unpredictable, and a generation that produced unsatisfying or imperfect content has still consumed real upstream cost.

Unspent token balances are preserved on cancellation or downgrade. If you cancel or downgrade your subscription, the tokens already in your balance remain available to you — only the going-forward grant rules change.

Creator top-up purchases are non-refundable once redeemed. Top-up credits sit outside the carry-over cap and never expire while your account is active. If you accidentally purchased a top-up and have not yet used any of it, contact billing@coffeescribe.ai within 14 days and we will review the request.

4. Failed Generations

We do not charge tokens for generations our system detects as failed. This includes generations that error out from the upstream AI provider, return empty content, or are truncated mid-sentence. If you believe you were charged for a generation that failed, contact billing@coffeescribe.ai with the scribe ID and the approximate time of the generation. We retain a full audit trail of every token transaction and can verify the case.

6. How to Cancel

You can cancel your subscription at any time from your account settings under the Billing section. Cancellation takes effect at the end of your current billing period. You will receive a confirmation email when the cancellation is recorded.

If you have trouble cancelling through the in-app flow, email billing@coffeescribe.ai with your account email and we will process the cancellation manually.

7. Billing Disputes

If you believe a charge was made in error — duplicate charges, charges after cancellation, charges for tokens you never used, incorrect amounts — contact billing@coffeescribe.ai with the following information:

  • Your account email
  • The transaction date and amount in question
  • A brief description of the issue
  • The Paddle invoice or receipt ID if you have it

We aim to respond to billing disputes within 3 business days. Token transactions are retained indefinitely for this purpose. If we find an error in our favour, we will refund or credit the amount via the original payment method.

8. Chargebacks

Please contact us first before initiating a chargeback with your bank or card issuer. Most billing disputes can be resolved faster directly with us than through a chargeback. Unjustified chargebacks (where we have already delivered the service and there is no billing error) may result in account suspension and recovery of the chargeback fee from the account holder. Payment processing is handled by Paddle, and Paddle acts as the merchant of record for all transactions.
